Coos Bay Real Estate

Coos Bay is located on the southern coast of Oregon and offers an abundance of outdoor activities as well as a high quality of life.  Pristine lakes and rivers, mountains, sand dunes, numerous parks and campgrounds, and the Pacific Ocean to the west, Oregon's Bay Area provides a wide variety of activities for residents and visitors to enjoy.

Located in Coos County, with a population of 16,210, Coos Bay is the largest city on the Oregon coast and offers state of the art medical facilities, an ever expanding college, several museums and local theaters, and a progressive school system.

The City operates on a Council/Manager form of government with a Mayor and six Councilors, all volunteer positions, elected by the citizens.  We are proud of our community and welcome an opportunity to share the Bay Area experience.  Again, welcome to the City of Coos Bay!

Jeff McKeown, Mayor

Coos Bay, North Bend and Charleston are right next to one another on the bay. The combination of all three cities make for a terrific place to visit. There are three lighthouses all within 20 miles of the area, several challenging golf courses, and some of Oregon's nicest parks. If you want to test your luck, you can visit The Mill Casino in the center of town.
The center of Coos Bay and North Bend are set a few miles off the ocean, but still sit right on the water of the Bay. Charleston, however, does sit on the ocean. From here you can visit a number of ocean-side parks, view Cape Arago and inspect Simpson's Reef (a terrific place to watch the sea lions). Visit the Coos Bay area and see why people make this a yearly vacation destination.
